What is Wagyu?
Wagyu is a Japanese breed of cattle. It’s simple – Wa means Japanese, and Gyu is the cow.
Wagyu cattle is a collective term for four main strains of Japanese cattle; the Shorthorn, the Brown, the Polled and the Black.The Japanese Black is the breed responsible for producing the beef we recognise as Wagyu today. At Noble House Wagyu we only breed with the Japanese Black bringing the best beef from pasture to plate for all our customers

With Wagyu there is twice the concentration of mono-unsaturated fatty acids (Healthy Fats) compared to conventional beef, this is proven to help maintain a steady flow of blood pressure and body temperature. The Marbling also contains a higher level of Omega 3 and Omega 6 that are beneficial for lowering cholesterol, decreasing the risk of heart disease, arthritis, alzheimer’s and cancer.
