What is Wagyu?
Wagyu is a Japanese breed of cattle. It’s simple – Wa means Japanese, and Gyu is the cow.
Wagyu cattle is a collective term for four main strains of Japanese cattle; the Shorthorn, the Brown, the Polled and the Black. The Japanese Black is the breed responsible for producing the beef we recognise as Wagyu today. At Noble House Wagyu we only breed with the Japanese Black bringing the best beef from pasture to plate for all our customers
